Swifts up to fifth after beating Narberth

MONKTON SWIFTS moved up to fifth place in Division 1 on Saturday (Apr 9) as they beat Narberth 9-2.

Dylan Davies put the Swifts ahead in the fourth minute and he double his side’s lead seven minutes later.

Jack Clarke then made it 3-0 after 20 minutes and Jamie Wilkes also got his name on the score sheet.

Davies then completed his hat trick and added a fourth before goals from James Russell, Chris Richards and Jason Finnegan completed the scoring for the home side.

Rhys Hughes and Liam Phillips both found the net for Narberth but their goals proved to be consolation efforts.

That was Monkton’s final game of the season with the win seeing them finish with a record of ten wins, four draws and eight defeats from their 22 games.
