Taulupe Faletau called up to Wales squad for England game

Wales have called Taulupe Faletau up to the Six Nations squad for the upcoming game vs England on Saturday.

Faletau has just recovered from injury, and played his second match after seven months out for Bath on Sunday.

The 31-year-old made his comeback against Wasps on Febuary 12th, where he scored a try after 60 minutes on the pitch.

On his return, he said:

“I feel I needed a couple of games, and I’ve had that.

“It was a rolling two weeks for a long time, then I would get to the end of that two weeks, I would run again and it would ping again. It was basically that for the whole time.

“I am just enjoying getting out there, whether it’s Bath or Wales. Whatever it is, I just want to enjoy the games because seven months out wasn’t fun.”

Faletau will leave Bath this summer after signing for Cardiff Rugby, following a 6 year career at the Somerset club.

He now enters a Wales squad that overcame a first-match defeat against Ireland by beating Scotland 20-7 in Cardiff on Saturday, 12th February.

The Welsh travel to Twickenham this Saturday, before hosting France and Italy at the Principality Stadium.

Wales haven’t won a Six Nations tie at the home of English Rugby in 10 years, but will look to change that on the weekend.
