Aber man threatened to throw acid in ex-girlfriend’s face

swansea-crown-courtAN ABERYSWYTH man is to stand trial accused of threatening to throw acid in the face of a former girlfriend.

Gavin Oliver, aged 44, of Goginan, is also accused of stabbing Joanne Daylak.

Oliver appeared before Judge Keith Thomas at Swansea Crown Court today (Jan 20) for a plea and trial preparation hearing.

He denied unlawfully wounding Miss Daylak and of stalking her by the commission of a number of acts, including installing spyware on her mobile telephone enabling him to monitor her calls.

Oliver is also accused of changing her email passwords, cancelling her mobile contract, making a large number of unwanted calls and threatening her with a knife as well as the threat to throw acid in her face.

Oliver, who is staying with his sister in Colchester, was told a two day trial would begin on April 4.

He was granted bail meanwhile.
