ARMED police officers attended a property at Mill St in Carmarthen last night (Oct 1).
Dyfed-Powys Police officers, supported by officers from the Joint Firearms Unit, have arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm at the property.
This action followed a report that a man had been assaulted at a property in Mill St earlier in the day and sustained burn type injuries.
He was subsequently conveyed to Morriston Hospital where he remains for treatment.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “The safety of officers and all those at the scene was the priority at all times. We are pleased the action was carried out without incident, and there is no need for further concern in the area. An investigation is underway into the assault.”
