A 21-YEAR-OLD man from Monkton has been remanded in custody by Magistrates in Llanelli after appearing before the bench charged with causing actual bodily harm to a minor.
Jordan Graham Probert of Colley Court is accused of assaulting a female under the age of 18 in Pembroke on December 30, contrary to section 47 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.
Probert is also accused of beating the girl on Christmas Day, and assaulting the same girl between July 1 and August 31 last year.
The court was satisfied that bail could not be granted due to the serious nature of the offence and to prevent him from absconding.
The court was also mindful that they wanted to prevent interference with witnesses or any other obstruction to the course of justice.
He will now appear at Swansea Crown Court on February 4, at 10am.
Probert entered a plea of not guilty to the alleged offence.
