DYFED-POWYS POLICE can confirm that 28-year-old Blaine Alexander Sawyer has been charged with rape following an incident in New Road, Begelly, on December 27.
Sawyer, of Park Gardens, was charged to appear at Llanelli Magistrates Court on Tuesday, January 1, where he was released on conditional bail.
The court heard that the alleged victim in the case is 15-years-old.
He is due to appear at Swansea Crown Court on Monday, February 4.
Detective Inspector Cameron Ritchie said: “We would like to assure the community that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this isolated incident.
“We would also like to thank the community for their support while we carried out enquiries in relation to this serious offence.”
