A MAN in his 50’s was arrested in Carmarthen town centre on Thursday (Jan 2) after a sting operation by sex offender hunter group PH Balance.
It is alleged that the male was grooming and arranging to meet what he believed to be a 14-year-old girl, the self-styled PH Balance team said on their Facebook page.
The group, which has conducted a number of similar stings in recent months said: “He met us instead [of the girl].
“Well done to PH Kayla and in her words let’s start this new year as we mean to go on.
“The message as always is clear stay away from our kids we will catch up with you.
“Thanks to Dyfed Powys for their assistance.”
The details of the PH Balance operation have been widely shared on social media.
