Carmarthenshire woman disqualified

A WOMAN from Carmarthen has been disqualified from driving after admitting two driving offences.

Laura Barber of Llangynog, Carmarthenshire, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (Aug 10) to face two driving offences.

The court heard how 29-year-old Barber was accused of driving a vehicle whilst disqualified and without a valid insurance policy.

The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges.

A further driving offence charge was dropped due to lack of evidence.

For the charge of driving whilst disqualified magistrates fined the defendant £400, made them the subject of a 12 month community order and disqualified them from driving for six months.

No separate penalty was given for the charge of driving without insurance.

Barber must also pay £85 costs to the prosecution and a £95 surcharge.
