Storm Imogen began her onslaught on the county in the early-hours of the morning (Feb 8). Sweeping the county with thunder, lightning, 40mph winds and heavy rainfall.

It was recognised that conditions were unsuitable for the ferry to travel and the early morning ferry to Ireland from Fishguard Bay was axed.

Stena Line who operate the ferry have also said that the afternoon crossing is cancelled.

“The following sailings are cancelled due to adverse weather: Monday 8th February 02:30 hours and 14:30 hours.” Their website said.

The ferry is set to run as normal however from tonight: “Sailings will resume with the 02:30 hours on Tuesday 9th February.” The companyapologised for the delay: “Stena Line regret any inconvenience this may cause.”

If you have made a reservation on the Ferry for one of their cancelled crossings you can amend it by calling 0844 770 70 70 when travelling to Ireland or on +353 (53) 91 61505 if returning to Britain.
