Five vehicles involved in collision on A48

AN INCIDENT involving five vehicles on the westbound carriage of the A48 at Nantycaws caused disruption to traffic this morning (Oct 24).

Two female casualties were treated for injuries.

Dyfed-Powys Police, Welsh Ambulance Service and Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service were at the scene.

A Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We received the call at 8.19am of an incident on the A48 Westbound.

“The road traffic collision involved four vehicles, two female casualties were at the scene, and police and ambulance services also attended.

“Fire were involved in making the vehicles safe, and using granules for an oil spill.

“Two crews attended from Carmarthen and Tumble.

“They have now left the scene.”
