MAGISTRATES at Llanelli dealt with a case of harassment without violence on Wednesday (Mar 4).

Liam Fusco, 22, of Parcydelyn, declined representation.

The court heard that between January 26 and February 20, Fusco had repeatedly phoned the complainant and her mother, and had sent regular messages to her on social media. However, it was pointed out that Fusco had been in a relationship with the complainant until shortly before this. When the police spoke to him, the defendant said that he had no idea that what he was doing construed harassment, and claimed he was just trying to contact his ex partner. Fusco also wrote a letter to the court declaring his remorse for what had occurred.

Magistrates fined Fusco £165, taking into account his early guilty plea. He was also ordered to pay £60 costs and surcharge.
