FOLLOWING a string of incidents of anti-social behaviour, the iconic Kidwelly Castle is to close from March 9 to March 18 for remedial works to be carried out. A press statement on the Kidwelly Town Council website read: “Due to anti-social behaviour, part of the works will include placing bollards across the castle car park, these will then be locked at the end of each day. We have tried numerous ways of resolving this issue but sadly it is increasing.” The Herald spoke to CADW about the closure. A CADW spokesperson told us: “This is a routine closure for some maintenance work on the gift shop.”
