Busy day: Burry Port inshore lifeboat

THREE young people caught out by the tide near Pwll were rescued by the Burry Port inshore lifeboat on Saturday (Mar 25).

Shortly after 1.30pm Burry Port RNLI received a request to launch. The D Class inshore lifeboat, ‘Diane Hilary’, crewed by Lee Howells, Luke Maliphant and Osian Bowen, was launched and was on scene very quickly.

The three casualties were picked up and returned to the Boathouse in Burry Port Harbour. Thankfully, none of them required medical attention.

In the meantime members of the shore crew and the harbour master assisted a lady who had fallen from her camper vehicle in the Burry Port Harbour area, suffering a serious shoulder injury. They stayed on scene until an NHS ambulance was available.
