Pembroke Dock: Dog owners warned after suspected poisoning

DOG OWNERS in Pembroke Dock have been warned to be careful after two dogs became ill after walking in a park.

The dog’s owners took to Facebook to warn the public that they believe their dogs had been poisoned after a walk at the Memorial Park on Sunday morning (31 March).

In the post Lynn Margaret said: “To all dog owners in Pembroke Dock! While out walking at the Memorial Park, Pembroke Dock this morning our dogs were poisoned. Both dogs are currently at the vets on a drip!.”

“Mabel began shaking about 90 minutes after her walk and Dotty nearly three hours after. If your dogs experience these symptoms, get them checked out. The Vet thinks it’s slug pellet poisoning.”

Dyfed Powys Police believe the dogs may have consumed slug pellets, they have asked dog owners to remain vigilant in the area.
