POLICE are appealing for vigilance in Pembrokeshire farming communities after reports that a number of dead badgers had been found.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We are appealing for vigilance after receiving a report that a number of dead badgers had been found by a farmer on his land in the Treffgarne area of Haverfordwest and that badger setts have been disturbed.
“This is believed to have happened over several months.
“Police are keen to hear from anyone who has seen any suspicious activity or vehicles, particularly near to known badger setts.
“Anyone with information that could help the investigation, or anyone who suspects someone of taking part in the activity, is asked to contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
