MAJOR sinkholes have appeared on the A40 near Llandovery, closing the road, with diversions in place.
The sinkholes, between Heol Rhos and A482 at Llanwrda, appeared at around 6pm last night (Apr 18).
Police shared images of the sinkholes on Twitter, warning motorists to take care, before the road was closed.
As of this afternoon (Apr 19) the road remains closed.
It is not yet clear when the road will be re-opened fully.
