DYFED-POWYS POLICE Carmarthenshire Neighbourhood Development Department have some important information for parents and children and those lucky enough to be going on holiday this summer.

PC Dave White a Community Safety Officer for Carmarthenshire said “Now that the schools have finished we have an increase in Anti-social Behaviour as the kids are off from school. The calls sometimes can be about kids playing football on the street annoying neighbours or causing a danger to road users, or starting fires or generally being unruly.

“It’s not our intention to spoil anyone’s fun as the kids work hard all year and look forward to their long breaks, our message is here to prevent anyone getting into trouble or getting a criminal record.

“I would also ask people to look out for their neighbours properties when they are away and for people not go announce they are going away on social media. Our Neighbourhood Policing teams have Home security kits which includes a house alarm which can be borrowed for the period that you are away please take them up on these excellent bits of kit.”

If anyone wants any further advice on home security, shed security or general security please do not hesitate to contact your Neighbourhood development Team based in Ammanford on 101 we will be happy to help.
