Tenby: Flood warning issued for Kiln Park

Road-Flood-FloodingA FLOOD WARNING has been issued by Natural Resources Wales for the River Ritec at Tenby

Flooding is expected for Kiln Park caravan site, the B4318 road at Clicketts Lane and Gumfreston Road and the minor road The Floyne Lane and may occur from 9:30 pm onwards..

Flooding is expected to affect up to 40 static caravans at Kiln Park properties in this area.

The rainfall is forecast to continue to ease.

The heaviest rainfall has now cleared the area.

River levels in the River Ritec at Tenby are expected to rise until at least 10:30 pm.

Water levels will remain high for several days due to restriction of the tidal outfall. This will result in water levels rising over the period of each high tide.

The level of the River Ritec will continue to decline slightly until about 4:45 pm and then it will rise for 4 to 5 hours until reaching an expected peak value of between 1.9 and 1.95 metres at the Kiln Park gauge by 10:00 pm this evening.

Flooding to the B4318 at Gumfreston is likely to worsen during this evening and into Tuesday morning.
