A 40-YEAR-OLD man from Haverfordwest man is to stand trial accused of downloading videos of female genital mutilation, which the CPS say are Class A illegal images.
Peter Ashley Jones, of Portfield, appeared before Swansea Crown Court on Friday (Jul 24).
Jones is accused of possessing seven videos showing images of FGM and male circumcision. Category A images are considered to be the ‘most severe’.
He is also accused of possessing indecent images of Class C.
Jones has entered pleas of not guilty and Judge Paul Thomas adjourned the case until November 24 for the trial, which is expected to last for two days. Jones was granted bail.
