A DRIVER was rescued from a van after it became stranded in flood water this afternoon (Nov 21) in St Clears.
Moments after he was rescued from the van, Dyfed-Powys Police said that the van was then swept away in the Afon Dewi Fawr.
The incident is among many reported around Wales today, as a severe weather warning has been in place.
Police say that drivers should not attempt to drive through flood water and instead should find an alternative route.
The police said on social media site Twitter: “Moments later this van was washed away. Don’t risk your life for the sake of a shortcut. Driver removed & safe.”
