POLICE are growing increasingly concerned for the whereabouts of a young barrister, originally from Pembrokeshire, who has been missing since Friday night.
Gianni Sonvico, 23, who works for the Law Commission, attended a social function at The Temple in the City, leaving at 9.30pm, presumably to catch a bus or Tube home.
Detective chief Inspector Dave Hutchinson from Islington police said: “His mother, who lives in Wales and spoke to him on a regular basis, has had no contact with him since Friday night. This is extremely out of character and we are very concerned. Gianni is also an avid Arsenal fan but it doesn’t appear he went to the match at Crystal Palace at the weekend.”
Gianni’s mum, Karen Chandler, the marketing manager for Theatr Gwaun, has travelled to London in search of her son. Gianni previously studied at Pembrokeshire College, and is originally from Goodwick.
Police are looking at CCTV footage near to where he disappeared. Mr Sonvico is described as a white male. He was last seen wearing a black suit and purple shirt. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Islington CID on 07766 781 861.
