Corwen Road clear after fallen tree blockage

The public’s assistance in clearing a fallen tree off a major road in Flintshire has received praise from the police.

On Wednesday afternoon, between Pontblyddyn and Pontybodkin, on the A5104 Corwen Road, the event took place.

According to reports, the tree caused heavy traffic in the region and obstructed the road.

According to traffic reports, the roadside debris caused by the downed tree was cleaned at 2.30 pm.

The South Flintshire Neighbourhood Policing Team’s Sergeant Emma Prevete stated: “Numerous huge trees in the area have fallen due to the strong winds of today.

“Advice to drivers is to be careful out there.”

As Storm Claudio’s effects spread over the UK, a yellow weather warning for wind and rain is in force for portions of North Wales.
