Reportedly, a power outage is affecting Chirk and other parts of Wrexham.
Scottish Power indicated that properties in the LL14 area, which includes Chirk, Johnstown, and Rhosllannerchrugog, as well as the LL113NQ (Coedpoeth), LL115DG (Brymbo), LL13 8BT (Charles Street), and LL116SD (Southsea) districts, are affected.
Chirk is the most badly affected area, with power outages affecting the entirety of the town.
A Scottish Power spokesperson said: “We had no advance warning of this and first became aware of it at 10.31am. Our engineers have arrived on site and are investigating reports of an overhead line being brought down by a 3rd party.
“They will work to restore your electricity supply as quickly and as safely as possible. We expect the power to be restored by 3pm. The latest updates can be found on our website www.spenergynetworks.co.uk. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
