Collision between motorbike and car in Brecon

DYFED-POWYS POLICE is appealing for information about a road traffic collision outside Brecon, Powys, which has left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

The collision, between a motorbike and a car, occurred on the B4520 at Llandefaelogfach, at around 2.15pm on Wednesday, August 26.

The black and red Aprillia R1000 motorbike was travelling south in the direction of Brecon, while the car, a red Dacia Duster, was travelling north in the direction of Pwllgloyw. The driver was not injured.

There was a second motorbike, a red Yamaha FZS, also travelling with the motorcyclist at the time of the collision. The rider of that bike was not injured.

The road was closed for some time while collision investigators carried out their enquiries, and re-opened at around 5pm.

The injured motorcyclist is currently in hospital in a stable condition.
