Yellow warning issued by MET Office over thunderstorms in Pembrokeshire

OVERNIGHT, a thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of north, south, and west Wales.

The yellow warning was issued at 20:00 Hrs on Sunday and will remain in effect until 04:00 BST on Monday.

Up to 30mm (1.2in) of rain could fall in less than an hour, according to the Met Office.

It also warned that hail, strong winds, and “frequent lightning” could cause damage to buildings in some areas.

It also stated that the heavy rain could cause flooding, power outages, and train delays.

Bridgend, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Gwynedd, Anglesey, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire, Powys, Swansea, and the Vale of Glamorgan are among the 11 local authority areas affected by the warning.
