David Rimmer: Former youth boss has stepped up to seniors

GARDEN VILLAGE have announced that long-serving player David Rimmer has been appointed as their new first team manager for the forthcoming season.

Rimmer, 34, who is the son of former Manchester United goalkeeper Jimmy Rimmer, has been with the club for a number of years and was also youth team manager in the club’s debut season in Youth Division West.

Village have also appointed former Swansea City midfielder Andrew Mumford as assistant manager with Kevin Murphy as first team coach.

Either side of his time with the Swans, Mumford made 141 (+29) Welsh Premier appearances, scoring 28 goals for Llanelli, Port Talbot, Haverfordwest, Aberystwyth and Afan Lido.
