Pembroke Dock man accused of stealing power tools and alcohol from town centre stores

A 62-year-old man has appeared before magistrates charged with stealing power tools and alcohol valued at over £200 from two stores in Pembroke Dock.

Kevin Bowen, of Bush Street, Pembroke Dock is accused of entering Asda supermarket soon after 1pm on January 6, 2023, and placing bottles of alcohol inside a duffle bag.

The Crown alleges that he then proceeded to walk out of the shop without paying for them. The alcohol was valued at £125.

“Later that day he went to B and M and took more items from a shelf,” Crown Prosecutor Ryan Colamazza told Haverfordwest magistrates this week.

“He put them in a bag, put the bag over his shoulder and left the store.”

The items which Kevin Bowen allegedly stole from the store comprised power tools, door handles and LED strips to the value of £90.

Kevin Bowen denies both charges of theft.

The matter was adjourned until June 15 when the trial is expected to take place at Haverfordwest magistrates court.

Bowen was released on unconditional bail.
