Ragged School prove too strong for Neyland

RAGGED School proved too strong for Neyland in the West Wales Cup on Saturday (Nov 5) as they earned a 5-0 win at the Athletic Ground.

The Swansea League Division 2 leaders went in to the game with one defeat in their last seven matches and it took them just two minutes to open the scoring against Neyland.

The School were awarded a penalty and Scott Harris converted. Harris then made it 2-0 after 16 minutes as Neyland now faced an uphill battle.

William Davies then made it 3-0 on 25 minutes before he scored again a minute before the break to all but seal his side’s passage into the next round.

Neyland had their chances to score but they were unable to take them.

Delano Tortorella then scored Ragged School’s fifth with twenty minutes to go and that completed the scoring.

On Saturday, November 12, Neyland return to action in Division 1 as they visit unbeaten leaders Goodwick United. Ragged School are also back in league action as they face Llangyfelach.
