West Wales Cup: Goodwick ease past Clydach

GOODWICK United booked their place in the third round of the West Wales Cup on Saturday (Nov 5) as they beat Clydach 4-0.

The Pembrokeshire side are former winners of the competition and they went in to the game with a 100% record in league and cup games.

Clydach sit fourth in the West Wales Premier League but had lost in the League cup in their last outing.

Goodwick took the lead after five minutes through Rhys Dalling and eight minutes later they were awarded a penalty.

Rhys Jones converted from the spot to give his side a commanding lead.

Clydach would have hoped to have got back into the game in the second half but six minutes in Goodwick added their third.

Sion O’Sullivan scored the goal and Clydach faced an uphill battle.

Dalling then scored his second goal of the game with 11 minutes to go to all but seal the win.

On Saturday, November 12, Goodwick return to league action with a home game against Neyland.
