ITS building people Swansea celebrate 50 years with £50,000 charity drive

CELEBRATING 50 years in the construction recruitment industry, ITS Swansea is commemorating this huge milestone by pledging to raise £50,000 for the Sue Ryder charity.

Each ITS office is taking part in various fundraising events, which include a charity skydive, The 3 Peaks Challenge, site labouring days, marathons, football matches and much more. The funds raised will provide hospice care for people with life-limiting conditions and their families.

“It’s an honour to celebrate 50 years of success by giving back to those that need it most, “ said Paul Knight, ITS Board Director. “Our team is passionate about making a difference, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact of our fundraising efforts.”

ITS Swansea works with main contractors, developers and sub-contractors across all sectors in the industry, supplying trades and labour as well as professional construction staff on a temporary and permanent basis.

“Over the past 50 years, we’ve remained committed to providing quality service and solutions to our clients and candidates”, continues Paul. “We’re proud of our legacy in the industry and excited to continue making a positive impact.”

Championing diversity, inclusion and mental wellbeing

Along with the charity drive, ITS Swansea continues to push its diversity and inclusion focus to create employment opportunities for all.

By tackling industry stereotypes and showcasing the benefits of working in construction, ITS Swansea is passionate about supporting sector-minority groups such as female workers and young people.

As well as this, ITS Swansea is involved in several key mental health initiatives, which have seen company ambassadors coordinate and deliver mental health training to ensure all workers are supported in an understanding and friendly environment.

“Mental health is everyone’s concern – especially in the construction industry”, explained Paul. “We’re proud to partner with mental health charities like Mates in Mind and Man Gang to support our candidates’ well-being both on and off-site.”

ITS Swansea is proud of what they’ve achieved and is passionate about continuing the growth of the business in the future.
