Lewis Haines to be sentenced for murder of Lily Sullivan after plea change

A PEMBROKE MAN who is accused of murdering 18-year-old Lily Sullivan in December of last year has changed his plea to guilty.

31-year-old Lewis Haines, 31, of Flemish Court, Lamphey, was arrested for murder on December 17, after police discovered the victim’s body at the Mill Pond, Pembroke.

Haines ‘appeared at Swansea Crown Court this morning (Jun 13) via video link where he entered a guilty plea.

At previous hearings Haines had plead not guilty to murder but had entered a guilty plea to manslaughter.

The manslaughter charge was not accepted by the prosecution and the defendant was due to stand trial on June 20.

Haines will be sentenced for Lily’s murder on July 7.
