Blackford is Cardigan’s new boss

CARDIGAN TOWN FC are delighted with the appointment of Steve Blackford as First Team Manager and Joe Roscoe for the Reserves Team Manager.

The club is very excited with these appointments as they look forward to the 2016-2017 season.

Both have been with the club now for a few seasons and are committed to driving the club forward and developing the youngsters.

Steve was the clubs number one choice to take over as manager – the players, the supporters, the committee and everyone associated with the club wanted him to take charge.

It’s a tough act to follow Seamus Doherty, who has been fantastic, and the club would like to thank him for all his hard work and enthusiasm. They’re delighted to have him remain on the committee.

Steve is involved with the juniors and is well respected in the area on and off the pitch and he is perceived by many as the perfect manager to ensure the club remains as successful in the future as it has been in recent seasons. There is no doubt he’ll attract some new faces to the club.

Training will be on Monday nights at 6.30pm on the football pitch. All new and old players are welcome.
