New Signing: Declan Carroll, in action for the Bluebirds last season, is one of four new faces at Carmarthen

CARMARTHEN TOWN have made four new signings this week as they begin their preparations for the 2016/17 Dafabet Welsh Premier League campaign.

The first of those is Lee Surman who brings a wealth of experience to the Old Gold , having made 334 appearances, and scoring 10 goals.

Surman joins from Aberystwth after just a year at Park Avenue , having previously played for Port Talbot Town.

The Old Gold have also signed former Haverfordwest County Midfield Declan Carroll.

The Bluebirds were recently relegated from the Premier League where he played 19 times and scoring once.

Carroll has bags of ability and is sure to excite Carmarthen Town fans in the coming season.

Carmarthen have also announced the capture of Risca United forward Matthew Thomas and Cardiff City winger Aidan Miller.

The signings follow the announcement that manager Mark Aizlewood had released Chris Thomas, Sacha Walters and Luke Prosser, while midfielder Kieran Lewis is moving to America.
