Haverfordwest remain unbeaten with win over Llanybydder

HAVERFORDWEST maintained their 100% record in League 3 West A on Saturday (Jan 29) as they beat Llanybydder 10-25.

The Blues had first half tries from Josh Thomas and Jack Blockwell, the latter’s being converted by Jake Morgan.

That gave them a 10-12 lead at the break and an early penalty from Jake Morgan extended their lead to five points.

It remained 10-15 going into the last quarter but Morgan added another penalty to all but end Llanybydder’s hopes of victory.

Matty Phillips then made sure of the win with the Blues’ third try of the game and Morgan added the extras.

It means the Blues have now won all six of their league games so far and they sit in third place in the table, three points behind the leaders who have played two games more.

Llanybydder are next in action on Saturday, February 19, when they travel to Tregaron.

Haverfordwest’s next game is scheduled for March 5, at home against Aberaeron.
