Hawkins sees Wizards into last four

MERLINS Bridge booked their place in the semi-finals of the West Wales Cup on Saturday as they eased to a 5-2 win over Plough Colts.

Nathan Greene gave the Wizards the lead in the first half as he headed home into the bottom corner.

Adam Hawkins also came close but missed a good opportunity to double the home side’s lead.

The home side could have had more goals as they missed a number of chances but they did eventually make it 2-0 with half an hour gone when Dai Davies sent a shot into the top corner.

Callum Davies did pull a late goal back for the Colts but it was just a consolation.
