Lawrenny and Saundersfoot’s game abandoned

THE game between Lawrenny and Saundersfoot (June 4) was another to be abandoned.

Saundersfoot had won the toss and chosen to field and they were able to bowl Lawrenny out for 168.

Harry Thomas top scored with 36 while Rob Williams added 33. There was also a score of 29 from Finley Lewis.

John Mansbridge claimed three wickets for Saundersfoot as did Neil Powling (3-12).

Tudor Hurle also finished with figures of 2-33 and Jack Franklin (1-38) also claimed a wicket.

Saundersfoot reached 26-2 in their reply but the rain forced the teams off the field. Rob Williams (1-1) and Ryan Morton (1-8) claimed the wickets to fall.

The result means both sides take home eight points for their efforts.

On Saturday, June 11, Lawrenny travel to Llangwm while Saundersfoot host Narberth.
