Lawrenny see off Narberth for second win

LAWRENNY earned their second win of the season on Saturday (May 7) as they beat Narberth by 101 runs.

Narberth won the toss and chose to field first and they were able to bowl Lawrenny out for 172.

Ryan Morton top scored for Lawrenny with 43 while Tom Cole added 36 and Kyle Marsh scored 28.

Narberth’s Ben Quartermaine bowled well as he finished with figures of 4-15 while Ben Hughes finished with figures of 3-53.

Narberth struggled in their reply as Quartermaine top scored with 20 while Matthew Johns added 15.

Rob Williams did the damage for Lawrenny taking four wickets for 14 runs and he was well backed up by his fellow bowlers.

Morton finished with figures of 2-22, Jamie Lewis took two and Finlay Lewis also finished wih figures of 2-6.

That saw Narberth bowled out for just 71 to give Lawrenny a big win.

The win moves Lawrenny up to third place in the table, just three points behind leaders Neyland.

On Saturday, May 14, Lawrenny travel to Carew while Narberth host St Ishmaels.
