NEYLAND moved up to fifth in the league as they easily beat Milford United 3-0 at Marble Hall on Saturday.

Conditions weren’t great for a game of football as light rain persistently battered both sets of players.

Neyland began the better of the two sides and went ahead with twenty minutes gone.

A ball into the box was not dealt with and it fell to Nathan Warlow who fired the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-0 to the visitors. It stayed like that until half time but it wasn’t long before Neyland doubled their lead in the second half.

In the opening minutes of the second half, Sean Hannon played a through ball to Justin Harding whose shot from 25 yards squirmed through the goalkeepers grasp and into the net.

With twenty minutes of the half gone Neyland killed off any hopes Milford had of a comeback when Henry Durant cut inside before curling the ball into the far corner of the net.

Andrew Smith came close to adding a fourth for the visitors but his stinging effort was palmed onto the bar by Milford’s keeper.

Neyland saw out the second half with no real trouble and the win lifts them above Tenby and Hakin United.
