Seals go pink for breast cancer

seals galaSWIMMERS from Haverfordwest Seals Swimming Club changed their usual team navy and white colours to pink for the relays session in the recent West Wales Sub Regionals Gala held at Haverfordwest Leisure Centre – all in aid of Breast Cancer Research.

Parents on the balcony wore pink T-shirts whilst supporters pool side wore a variety of pink accessories including tutus, hats, wigs, gloves, t shirts and leg warmers and some swimmers even dared to wear pink bathers and swimming hats.

The relay teams were hit by a string of last minute illnesses and injuries but their competitive spirit shone through and with the Seals ‘Pink Army’ screaming their support throughout, and several nail bitingly close finishes, swimmers managed three gold, three silver and three bronze medals.

A fantastic fun session was had by all and Ł51.57 was raised for Breast Cancer Research.
