St Florence too good for Cricket Club

ST FLORENCE continued their unbeaten season on Saturday (Feb 12) as they beat Haverfordwest Cricket Club seconds 5-1 in Division 4.

The two sides drew 1-1 earlier in the season but it was a different story this time around as the Saints raced into a 4-0 lead.

They were awarded a penalty after 17 minutes and Jacob Webster fired in the spot kick and he then doubled Saints’ lead on 23 minutes.

Two minutes later Zac Thomas scored to make it 3-0 and also grabbed his second with half an hour gone.

The Cricket Club kept battling though and were reward when Morgan James pulled a goal back shortly before half time.

They were unable to find a way back into the game though and the Saints made it 5-1 midway through the second half when Webster completed his hat trick.

Also on Saturday, Letterston won 6-3 against St Ishmaels seconds to move up to third place in the table.

Pennar Robins thirds were also victorious as they beat Milford United seconds 7-1 with Jamie Groves scoring a hat trick.

On Saturday, February 19, Camrose seconds host Milford United seconds while St Florence host Solva seconds.
