CARDIGAN’S strong run of form came to a battling end as they were kept at bay by Llanybydder, in a hard fought 80 minute game.
Leading 10-0 at half time thanks to a penalty from Llyr Davies, and a converted try from Dion Thomas, the Cardi’s were on the back foot come the second half.
Number 8 Llyr Griffiths scored for the visitors after a powerful surge, as the conversion sailed between the uprights.
However the dying moments belonged to the home side, as Thomas darted over for his second and Llyr Davies rounded off his good all round performance with a try.
Cardigan sit in tenth place, and host sixth place Pontarddulais on Saturday (Jan 31) as they fight for survival.
