Tish earn win after Pennar penalty saved

ST ISHMAELS sealed a 4-2 win over Pennar Robins on Saturday (Sept 3).

It could have been a lot different though had Pennar not seen a penalty saved which would have made it 3-3.

Jamie Groves opened the scoring for Pennar on 11 minutes and just two minutes later they had a second through Nick Willis.

Tish pulled a goal back on 31 minutes when Joel Morgan scored.

They were level nine minutes later when Morgan set up Nathan Thomas to score.

It was 2-2 at the break but just two minutes into the second half Tish were ahead as Morgan scored his second of the game.

Pennar were then awarded a penalty with 16 minutes to go but Groves saw his spot kick saved by keeper Owen Thomas.

Ed Richards then made the points safe for Tish as he scored in injury time to make it 4-2.

On Saturday, September 10, Tish travel to Fishguard while Pennar Robins host St Clears.
