TROSTRE BOXING CLUB’S Junior Section members and coaches were pleased to welcome football legend John Hartson to the Club on Monday (May 2).
All the young boxers in attendance, and their parents, found John to be most approachable and were made to feel totally at ease in his company.
Following a short training session, John is shown with his daughter, being presented with a cheque for £300 to The John Hartson Foundation.
The money was raised by a raffle held, for the Charity, at the last boxing tournament run by Trostre ABC.
Club Secretary/Coach, Del Phillips said, “The Trostre Boxing Club is very pleased to support charitable causes, whenever possible.
“John’s personal story is well known and his efforts, through the Foundation to help others with fighting cancer and all it’s associated issues, deserve all possible support.
“We hope to be able to further support John’s charitable work in the not-too-distant future.”
