TWO 20-year-old men from Llanelli appeared in Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Ethan Leigh George of 127 Brynhyfryd, Llangenech, was charged with assault on a person thereby causing them actual bodily harm, contrary to section 47 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.
George was further charged with assaulting a constable in the execution of his/her duty contrary to section 89(1) of the Police Act 1996.
Jonathan Dale Williams of 1 Clos Y Berllan, Llwynhendy was charged with assault on a person thereby occasioning actual bodily harm, contrary to section 47 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.
Neither defendants entered a plea. Prosecutor, Steve Lloyd said: “Both defendants attacked the same person in a deliberate attack with a gang mentality.”
Magistrates declined jurisdiction and sent the case to be dealt with on April 10th at Swansea Crown Court. The defendants were released on conditional bail.
