‘Behave or Be Banned’ this Christmas

policeTHERE is a Behave or Be Banned (BOBB) scheme operating in Cardigan this Christmas and anyone behaving anti-socially or criminally can expect to be shown the door early on, police say.

Hotels, bars and clubs will be working with Dyfed-Powys Police officers to ensure Christmas party nights run smoothly and safely. Anyone behaving badly in licensed premises can expect to be banned from not only that bar, but all the premises signed up the BOBB scheme.

“Unfortunately, there are a minority of people who spoil it for the majority,” said Sgt Delme Jones.

“The BOBB scheme aims to restore the balance by immediately banning the offenders. Officers will be linking in with licensees on all key evenings during Operation Santa to make sure things go well, but those who are causing issues can expect to be dealt with quickly.”

“Our message is clear – enjoy yourselves this Christmas but do so sensibly, safely and with consideration for others.”
