ON SUNDAY (Aug 14), the Real Junk Food Project got together with 4CG in their Cardigan car park for a community picnic.

Real Junk Food Cardigan is part of a global, organic network of pay as you feel cafes. Real Junk Food volunteers divert food destined for waste and use it to create delicious and healthy meals.

Together with Blooming Wild Cardigan (part of Grow Wild Project) around 60 eaters and volunteers ate rescued food, enjoyed viewing knitted flowers and insects, and listened to some brilliant live music.

A huge variety of different foods were served by volunteers for a small donation – whatever attendees could afford.
