WITH the imminent arrival of the extreme cold weather and wintery conditions residents are being urged make sure that they are prepared.
This weather is expected to cause disruption across the country and will likely impact on a number of council services over the coming week.
A council spokesperson said: “Our gritting teams will be responding accordingly to the weather as we continue to receive updates on the weather for the week ahead.
“All school closures will be listed on our website and are updated regularly by the schools. Make sure to check the emergency school closures page for up to date information on school disruption and closures.
“Residents who are concerned about their ability to keep their homes warm during this cold spell are advised that payments are automatically made to those eligible for support, however more information and how to check is available on our website, www.carmarthenshire.gov.uk
