Crown court to deal with sex offender

courtA MANOBIER man appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court charged with five separate sexual offences.

Wayne Edward Mansbridge, aged 46, of Hounsell Avenue, entered a guilty plea to one charge of possessing extreme pornographic images which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse or oral sex with a dog and a horse.

Mansbridge is also accused of raping a man of 16 years or older, one of raping a boy over 13, and two counts of sexual assault of a male. Pleas will be taken at the crown court for these four other charges.

Clerk Mike Cryer said: “Because two of the offences are indictable only they must be dealt with in the crown court.

David Weale, CPS prosecutor said: “It would make more sense for all the matters to be dealt with in the crown court, and I suggest that a sentencing exercise should be carried out to encompass all the offences.”

The bench told Mansbridge: “You have heard what is said, what we will do is send all these matters to the crown court. You must attend on November 29 at Swansea Crown Court. You have unconditional bail.”
