A SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE man who is accused of grooming and taking a young girl from Pembrokeshire and engaging in sexual acts with her is to appear at Swansea crown court this week.
Appearing at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court last week, Michael Alexander Jones, 30, of Blackhorse Lane, Downend, entered only appeared to confirm his name and address and did not enter any plea.
Jones is charged with taking a child under the age of 16 without having lawful control as well as three charges of engaging in sexual activity with the girl, and a charge of meeting her following grooming.
The case was adjourned to January 9, and Jones was granted unconditional bail until his appearance in Swansea.
