Police stations to be put up for sale

DYFED-POWYS POLICE will be putting a number of unused properties up for sale in the coming month. The properties, including St Clears and Felinfoel, will be marketed via an agent and in the local press.

Most of the properties have been empty for a long period of time.

Dyfed-Powys Police and Crime Commissioner Dafydd Llywelyn said: “This development is part of a wider Estates Programme, helping me as the Commissioner to ensure an effective and efficient service is delivered for local residents.

“The decision to close these properties was made before my term in office and as such I have consulted with affected town councils and key community leaders before progressing the sales.

“I wish to reassure the public that all funds raised will be used to invest in the current property estate and to provide appropriate facilities for Dyfed-Powys staff and community members requiring the services of the police.

“I look forward to working with – and listening to – the community over the next few years.”

Local PACT meetings, Neighbourhood Policing Team staff, and Central communication channels remain the same, for telephone assistance dial 101, and in an emergency dial 999.
